Create a Random Snail Mail Bundle to Gift to Someone

Hi,

I hope all is going well. It seems half the year is going by so fast. It's already the 6th month of the year.  I am keeping pace with my two sons on trying to make their summer fun before school starts in only approximately two more months or less. Nonetheless, I found a bit of time to create two packets that I thought I'd share with you. Snail mail can be simple, minimalistic, creative, and really its what is fun for you that you want to send and what you think the recipient would like as snail mail too. There are endless possibilities in what card, postcard, packet, bundle, and letters. It's a lot of fun to decorate the outside of the envelope or packets bundle when sending it. Here are just two ideas for June I was working on this month. No matter the month snail mail if fun to make and send to others.

I made two fun little packets to gift away. I created two little packets that could hold a variety and bunch of little pieces of paper. I decided to include some little reading material with different historical stories, information about a flower that is growing in my front yard (peonies- they are absolutely lovely), and other random information I thought might be of interest. I also included a postcard they could keep or send to someone else, a book mark, piece of stationery with peonies on it for writing notes or a letter, and any other random item I thought to include. These two packets were fun to make, plus I was able to enjoy reading about a bit of history as I put together these packets. It's a great gift that people can slow down for perhaps a minute or two to enjoy something different from regular daily life.

I hope these packets were  interesting to the gift recipients and hopefully made them smile. I also enjoyed decorating the outside of the packets with things I thought they'd like, but that's what makes snail mail so fun is the creating, sharing, and connecting with others.

Have you sent some snail mail recently? If so, what is your favorite part of the process in creating and making snail mail?

It not, consider taking some time to send a quick card or postcard to someone to get started in sending snail mail.

  Happy Writing!

                          Warmly,

                                       Sally

The first package I made with peonies as a central theme, the second photo shows how the different papers were put into the folded paper holder I made in the third photo.

Both the red and green folded paper holder are quick and easily made out of 12 x 12 paper. If you're interested in folding these paper holders let me know. I can make a blog post or perhaps a brief video showing how to make these paper holders if your interested in learning how to make one.

The second package I made had a green paper holder. It's helpful to have a folded paper holder that may hold many different pieces of paper that is being sent as snail mail. As you can see there are many pieces of paper that are being kept in this folded paper holder.
